DI Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week

Letizia Okonofua

Letizia Okonofua, Florida SouthWestern

  • Averaged 4.6 kills over eight sets and delivered a .296 hitting percentage on 81 total attempts
  • Also averaged 0.8 digs and 0.5 blocks
  • Helped the Bucs to a pair of wins over nationally-ranked opponents, including a five-setter vs. Daytona State
  • Recorded 15 kills in a 3-1 win vs. No. 2 Miami Dade; had 22 kills in the win at No. 18 Daytona State

  • Recorded eight blocks and seven kills in a five-set loss to No. 1 Florida SouthWestern

  • Helped FSW to a pair of wins over nationally-ranked FCSAA foes
  • Had a double-double (50 assists, 10 digs) at No. 2 Miami Dade; tallied 51 assists in a five-set win at No. 18 Daytona State

  • Also averaged 3.4 digs, 1.0 service ace and 0.4 blocks
  • Led the Vikings to a 3-0 week against FCSAA competition
  • Posted double-digit kills in each match, including a double-double (24 kills, 14 digs) vs. Indian River State

  • Helped The River to a 2-1 week against FCSAA foes, including a five-set win vs. nationally-ranked Lake-Sumter State
  • After posting 13 digs vs. Florida State College at Jacksonville and 23 vs. St. Johns River State, she tallied 32 in the win vs. Lake-Sumter State

  • Recorded 31 assists in straight-set wins vs. Palm Beach State and South Florida State; had a 51-assist, 16-dig double-double vs. Indian River State

Men's Soccer Player of the Week

  • Scored three goals, including the game-winner, and assisted on the fourth for seven total points
  • Connected on three of his five shot attempts

Avery Bracher

  • Tallied a total of seven points over two matches
  • Scored the game-winner against No. 11 Monroe then added two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over Montgomery
  • Scored her three goals on seven total shot attempts

Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Spencer Palmer

  • Was the top two-year runner at the Alligator Lake Invitational, finishing third overall and helping the Lakehawks to a second-place finish in team scoring
  • Posted a time of 26:49.9 in the 8K

Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Mei Chiang

Mei Chiang, Florida State College at Jacksonville

  • Continued her dominance on the trails, finishing second overall - and the top two-year runner - at the Alligator Lake Invitational
  • Posted a 5K time of 19:27.9, helping FSCJ to a third-place finish in the team standings

Men's Golfer of the Month

Jamie Smith

Jamie Smith, Eastern Florida State

Marsden Park, NSW, Australia 

  • Was victorious in his collegiate debut, winning the individual title at the Wallace Kickoff Classic in September; shot a 3-under and helped to the Titans to a runner-up finish
  • Tied for seventh at 1-over, helping the Titans to the team title at the Seahawk Shootout

Women's Golfer of the Month

Ann Burel

Ann Burel, Eastern Florida State

Orlando, Fla. 

  • Has nabbed a pair of individual titles thus far during the Titans' fall season
  • Won the Seminole Fall Warm-up in the season opener, finishing at 1-under
  • Tied for fourth at the Battle at Black Diamond (+5), helping Eastern Florida State to a second-place finish
  • Shot even-par to win the Hooves at the Highlands by eight strokes and helping the Titans to the team title
