PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Florida College System Activities Association announced its Division II All-FCSAA volleyball team on Thursday evening.

Headlining the 12-member team is St. Johns River State College's Lovina Teel, who received the Dulcie "Cookie" Stevens Award, presented to the FCSAA Division II Player of the Year.

Teel, a sophomore outside hitter from Jacksonville, N.C., has led St. Johns River State to a 19-13 overall record, 18-2 in Sun-Lakes Conference play and the No. 2 seed in the FCSAA DII Volleyball Championship. She leads the FCSAA in total kills (458) and is second in kills per set (4.0). 

She was named FCSAA Division II Offensive Player of the Week six times this season, including the final four weeks in succession.

Voted the FCSAA DII Defensive Player of the Year...has played in 32 matches for the Commodores...ranks second in the FCSAA in total kills (400) and fifth in kills per set (3.5)...ranks first in total attacks (1123)...leads the FCSAA with 460 digs and ranks fourth with 4.0 digs per set...also averages 0.1 assists, 0.3 blocks and 0.5 service aces...was the 2024 FCSAA DII Player of the Year...the only player to earn both FCSAA Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors this season.

Samantha Beatty, Lake-Sumter State
Freshman | OH | Leesburg, Fla.

Has played in 27 matches for the Lakehawks...ranks fourth in the FCSAA in total kills (346) and sixth in kills per set (3.3)...third in total service aces (61) and service aces per set (0.6)...also averages 0.3 assists, 0.4 blocks and 3.2 digs per set...named FCSAA DII Offensive Player of the Week on August 26.

Sandy Cao, St. Petersburg
Sophomore | OH | Clearwater, Fla.

Has played in 19 matches for the Titans...leads the FCSAA with 4.3 kills and 10.8 total attacks per set...also averaged 3.0 digs, 0.2 assists, 0.3 blocks and 0.4 service aces...named FCSAA DII Offensive Player of the Week on September 23.

Camryn Childers, Indian River State
Sophomore | OH | Cape Canaveral, Fla.

Has played in 23 matches for The River...averaged 3.2 kills and 2.9 digs per set...also posted 0.3 blocks and 0.3 service aces per set.

Nadia Ewton, St. Johns River State
Freshman | OH | Jacksonville Beach, Fla.

Has played in 28 matches for the Vikings...ranks fourth in the FCSAA in kills per set (3.6) and third in total kills (349)...is second in service aces per set (0.6) and fourth in total service aces (59)...also averages 0.4 blocks and 1.8 digs per set...has a .271 hitting percentage.

Jessica Horn, St. Johns River State

Voted the FCSAA DII Setter of the Year...has played in 32 matches for the Vikings...leads the FCSAA in total assists (1223), assists per set (10.5), total service aces (87) and service aces per set (0.7)...also averages 0.6 kills, 0.3 blocks and 2.5 digs per set...and eight-time FCSAA DII Setter of the Week recipient.

Maya Rhamy, Indian River State

Has played in 23 matches for The River...is second in the FCSAA in digs per set (4.5) and fifth in total digs (387)...also averaging 0.9 assists and 0.3 service aces...named FCSAA DII Defensive Player of the Week on October 7 and was selected NJCAA DII Defensive Player of the Week the following day.

Melany Salazar, Gulf Coast State

Has played in 28 matches for the Commodores...is fourth in the FCSAA in both total assists (716) and assists per set (7.2)...also averages 0.4 kills, 0.4 service aces and 2.4 digs.

Aryanna Spainhower, State College of Florida

Played in 23 matches for the Manatees...ranks third in the FCSAA with 3.7 kills per set and fourth in hitting percentage (.324)...also averaged 0.6 assists, 0.6 blocks, 0.3 services and 3.4 digs per set.

Reece Varden, Pensacola State
Sophomore | MH | Spanish Fort, Ala.

Has played in 34 matches for the Pirates...leads the FCSAA with a .377 hitting percentage...ranks second in total blocks (87) and fifth in blocks per set (0.8)...also averaged 2.4 kills and 0.4 digs per set.

Catie Woolf, Pensacola State
Sophomore | OH | St. Louis, Mo. 

Has played in 34 matches for the Pirates...averaged 2.9 kills and 2.9 digs per set...also averaged 0.4 blocks and 0.4 service aces.

Eleven of the 12 All-FCSAA honorees will be participating in the FCSAA Division II Volleyball Championship, which begins Friday morning in Fort Pierce, Fla. They were also recognized as part of the Sun-Lakes Conference Awards, also announced on Thursday evening.
