IRSC Women Dominate at home to capture NJCAA Swimming & Diving Championship

FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Indian River State College continued its dominance of NJCAA Swimming & Diving by winning the Women's National Championship on Saturday.

The victory marked the 44th straight championship and 48th overall for the Pioneers. 

Indian River State tallied 1,291 points in team scoring, led by co-NJCAA Swimmer of the Year recipients Wiktoria Maciuszek and Kelly Zwart and and NJCAA Diver of the Year Jada Toland. 

Not to be outdone, Indian River State's men's team won its 52nd straight national championship.

Combined, Indian River State teams won 46 of 50 events during the championship.

Indian River State's dDavid Suba was named NJCAA Diving Coach of the Year.

Indian River State College's Peyton Cosgrave was the recipient of the Dr. Jack Cistriano Service Award, presented annually to an individual who has provided outstanding service to the sport of swimming & diving. Cosgrave, who currently works as a clerk in the St. Lucie County Court System, has assisted the IRSC swimming & diving program on meet days, including the NJCAA Championships, for more than a decade.
