TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida College System Activities Association announced its Division I Women's Basketball awards on Tuesday.
Headlining the 12-member All-FCSAA team is FCSAA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Year Taylor Rietveld of Chipola College.
Rietveld, a sophomore combo guard/forward from Woodbine, Ga., was previously named Panhandle Conference Player of the Year and voted First-team All-Conference after helping the Indians to a 23-5 regular season record.
She has played in 25 games this season, is the FCSAA's sixth-leading scorer at 16.6 points per game and has also averaged 7.1 rebounds.
Shooting-wise, Rietveld is hitting 48.0 percent from the field, 40.5 percent from three, which ranks third in the FCSAA, and 85.1 percent from the free throw line, which ranks second.
She was named FCSAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week on December 9.
The All-FCSAA Team and FCSAA Player of the Year is voted on by members of the FCSAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee.
The team will be recognized prior to each of the quarterfinal round games at the FCSAA DI Women's Basketball Championship in Niceville, Fla., on Thursday, March 12.
