CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Palm Beach State College's Janiah Suprius was named the NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Suprius, a freshman guard from Lake Worth, Fla., averaged 28.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 9.0 assists and 2.0 steals in two games for the Panthers.
She shot 48.9 percent (22-of-45) from the field and 68.8 percent (11-of-16) from the line, helping the Panthers split the two games in which she played.
Against Miami Dade, she finished with 33 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Suprius followed that with a 23-point, 13-rebound, 11-assist triple-double in a 68-63 win against Florida State College at Jacksonville.
This is Suprius' third NJCAA Player of the Week award this season.
She was named the FCSAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
