CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Gulf Coast State College's Natalie Cole was named the NJCAA Division I Softball Pitcher of the Week on Wednesday.
Cole, a freshman righty from Dothan, Ala., went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in two appearances last week for the Commodores.
She earned complete-game victories vs. Wallace-Dothan and Lincoln Trail to run her record to 7-2 on the season.
In 13 total innings in the circle, she allowed only six hits, three unearned runs and one walk with 16 strikeouts while limiting opponents to a .122 batting average (6-for-49).
Cole was named the FCSAA DI Softball Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.
