CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Indian River State College's Emma Eekhoff was named the NJCAA Division I Softball Pitcher of the Week on Wednesday.
Eekhoff, a freshman righthander from Pella, Iowa, was 3-0, 0.00 ERA in five appearances for The River last week.
She notched the complete-game victory vs. South Florida State, allowing two hits and two (unearned) runs while walking none and striking out 14 and also picked up wins against Southern Idaho and St. Johns River State.
In 18 total innings in the circle, she allowed four hits, two runs (unearned) and five walks while striking out 33.
Eekhoff was named the FCSAA DI Softball Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.
