DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Daytona State College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Indian Hills (Iowa) Community College in Saturday's final match at the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship.

Indian Hills won its first National Championship while denying Daytona State its first in the Falcons' first-ever appearance in the championship match.

In a defensive struggle, both goalies - Daytona State's Matthew McCall and Indian Hills' Matteo Malaguti - played admirably.

A goal by the Warriors' Enzo de Almeida in the 49th minute proved to be the difference.

Daytona State's season ends with a record of 15-3-2 and its best-ever finish in the National Tournament.

The Falcons' Cale Saunders was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Defensive Player.
