CHARLOTTE, N.C. (December 8, 2021) - Miami Dade College's D'Monte Brown has been named the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Brown played in only one game during the voting period of November 29-December 5, but did he ever make the most of it.

In a game at nationally-ranked Eastern Florida State, Brown scored a career-high 43 points in the Sharks' 85-80, double-overtime victory. 

Brown hit 14-of-17 (82.4 percent) shots from the floor, including 5-of-8 (62.5 percent) from beyond the arc. He also knocked down 10-of-11 (90.9 percent) attempts from the free throw line.

In addition to his scoring output, Brown also tallied nine rebounds, two assists and one steal.

He was named NJCAA Region 8 Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
