TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida College System Activities Association announced its Women's Flag Football awards on Thursday.

The All-FCSAA Team and the FCSAA Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year awards were voted on by members of the FCSAA Women's Flag Football Committee. 

Headlining the team is FCSAA Offensive Player of the Year Layla West and FCSAA Defensive Player of the Year Nichelle Brown, both of Florida Gateway College.

West, a sophomore from Tampa, Fla., is one of a potent tri-fecta of wideouts for the Timberwolves. She leads the team with 18 touchdowns and is second with 61 receptions and 845 yards. She has also been credited with 10 extra points.

West was named FCSAA Offensive Player of the Week on March 10.

Brown, a freshman linebacker from Starke, Fla., has done a little bit of everything on the defensive side of the ball for Florida Gateway. 

She leads the team with 87 flag pulls and nine interceptions and has also recorded six tackles for loss, eight sacks and eight pass breakups while scoring four defensive or special teams touchdowns. Brown was named FCSAA Defensive Player of the Week on March 10.

The FCSAA awards will be presented prior to Friday's FCSAA Women's Flag Football Championship Game between Daytona State College and Florida Gateway College in Daytona Beach, Fla. (6 p.m., FCSAA Digital Network).

Has appeared in 12 games...has 42 receptions for 629 yards...has scored 15 touchdowns...named FCSAA Offensive Player of the Week on February 24. 

London Jenkins, Florida Gateway
Sophomore | WR | Jacksonville, Fla.

Has appeared in 15 games...has 57 receptions for 704 yards...has scored 11 touchdowns....credited with eight extra points...named All-FCSAA Offense in 2025.
