SCF's D'Moi Hodge grabs second NJCAA POTW award

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (December 18, 2019) - State College of Florida's D'Moi Hodge was named NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Hodge, a sophomore guard from Tortola, B.V.I., averaged 30.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 4.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in two games during the voting period. He shot 55.0 percent (22-of-40) from the field and 66.7 percent (10-of-15) from the free throw line.

Hodge led State College of Florida to wins over ASA Miami and Florida State College-Jacksonville at the Florida College’s Men’s Basketball Shootout. Against ASA Miami, he had 41 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in the 107-101 victory. The next day against FSCJ, Hodge scored his 1,000th career point.

Hodge was named NJCAA Region 8 Player of the Week on Tuesday. This is his second NJCAA Player of the Week award in the last three weeks.
