COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (June 19, 2017) - Chipola College's Reynaldo Rivera and Eastern Florida State College's Tommy Romero were named First-team All-America by the NJCAA on Monday.
Rivera, who played first base for the NJCAA Champion Indians, and Romero, a right-handed hurler for the Titans, were previously named FCSAA State Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively.
Rivera was one of four Chipola players recognized on the various all-America teams.
Third baseman Andrew Bechtold was a third-team selection while catcher Max Guzman and pitcher Bowden Francis were honorable mention picks.
Polk State College pitcher Jordan Spicer, an honorable mention selection, rounded out the Region 8 contingent.
