COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 21, 2015) - There's a new No. 1 team in this week's Marucci NJCAA Division I Baseball Poll.

St. Johns River State College, with a record of 27-5 at the time poll nominations were due, moved up one spot to the No. 1 ranking. The Vikings, ranked No. 2 in the FCSAA Baseball Coaches' Poll, received six of the ten first-place votes.

St. Johns River State has plenty of company from Region 8 in the Top 20.

Palm Beach State College, currently the No. 1 team in the FCSAA Baseball Coaches' Poll, is ranked sixth for the second straight poll. Chipola College, previously unranked nationally and ranked No. 3 in the FCSAA, is No. 9.

Santa Fe College, No. 4 in the FCSAA poll, is No. 11 after previously being ranked tenth, and State College of Florida, the FCSAA's sixth-ranked team, slipped eight spots to No. 16.

St. Petersburg College received votes in the NJCAA poll.

The NJCAA's Division II Poll also had a Region 8 flavor - Pasco-Hernando State College, a 2014 World Series participant, earned the No. 6 ranking.
